Tank Riders 2 by Polarbit, has been released for Android and iOS. As in the original game, you are in control of a tank in a bright and bouncy world with cartoon style visuals where you are under the constant threat of an attack. Your goal is to destroy every rival tank and gun tower in each arena-like level. Just like its predecessor, the controls are quite simple. Movement is executed through a virtual D-pad on one side and firing controls on the other. In the options panel you can adjust how these firing controls operate. You can either tap in the direction you want your cannon to fire or use a second virtual D-pad to pick out a precise shot. Personally I prefer the virtual D-pad as it gives a more precise opportunity to aim.
You won’t get bored with Tank Riders 2 quickly, as the levels are nicely varied. There are turret-filled levels that feel like you’re on the receiving end of a tower defense game, or you might have to fend off a succession of enemy waves all converging on your location. There are even some larger levels that require you to do some exploring while hit switches to progress.
The graphics may be a bit cartoonish, but they definitely paid attention to detail which really make the games visuals pop. Compared to the first prequel, Tank Riders 2 boots improved lighting effects and additional enhanced graphics.
Overall, Tank Riders 2 is a solid action-arcade style game like its predecessor. I was really disappointed that at the time of this review there was no multi-player option. Maybe this will be added in a future update. The game is Free to download and we have provided a link below. Let us know you thoughts by leaving a comment and a rating.
